Diva Maldives best Indian Ocean hotel

Diva, Naïade’s luxury resort in the Maldives, has obtained a new prestigious recognition from Condé Nast Traveller. The world renowned Condé Nast Traveller has announced its 2009 Hot List this month. Among the hotels in the Indian Ocean, Diva Maldives is in first place in the ranking. Diva ranks 14th in the overall Hot List for 2009.

Tourist Resort - Most tourist stay in exclusive resort islands.
Tourist Resort - Most tourist stay in exclusive resort islands.

The Hot List is compiled based on the choice of professionals in Condé Nast. Several criteria are used: the design, ambience, food, among others.

Condé Nast Traveller was impressed with the design concept and feeling of space that Diva Maldives offers for its guests.

The excellent level of services at the six restaurants Diva Maldives also made a difference. The editorial team considers that the island Didhoonolhu is big enough for honeymooners to find an intimacy. The magazine recommended to its readers to book the Beach Villas. Condé Nast Traveller, with its 820,000 prints, remains one of the most prestigious travel magazines of the world.

Condé Nast Traveller says about the resort
“More village than resort, Diva occupies the whole of Didhoonolhu, one of the Maldives’ biggest islands. It offers every stylish luxury one might hope for, with plenty of space to breathe, unlike many Malidivian resorts. There are six excellent restaurants (seafood, Italian, North African, Indian, South-East Asian and modern Japanese) as well as six bars and a nightclub, which means bar hopping is entirely possible, preferably astride one of the resort’s bicycles. There is a choice between 87 overwater and 57 beach villas (including 12 with pools), plus a presidential villa with 24-hour butler service. There’s a crèche, teenage activity area, gym, three infinity-edged pools, all kinds of water sports and a tranquil spa set amid a riot of bougainvillaea. But with two miles of beach, it’s also big enough to give romantic honeymooners all the space they need.”
